Work

I currently write for Epic Pew, an excellent Catholic culture blog maintained by a diverse and, well, epic group of authors. My work there focuses mainly on finding humor in the Catholic faith and discovering the divine in the unexpected.

I also have a novel in the works, a dystopian Southern Gothic piece dealing with themes of feminism, asexuality in a sexualized culture, and the recovery of identity after psychological abuse. In the meantime, I am constantly working on poetry and various essays, mostly dealing with living with mental illness. In the future, I would love to try to express my theological ideas in poetic form rather than traditional academic/prose form, just to see how it works out.

My career goals for the next year and a half to two years involve starting up my own freelance writing and editing consultancy, as well as a tutoring service to aid high school and college students develop their writing skills. I have a passion for excellent writing, and I want to use my talent and experience to help individuals and companies express their ideas with the highest quality writing possible. I'm not taking on such work as of right now, but once I'm ready to do so, all info will be posted here for anyone interested.
